Rivers Tees & Greta

Four distinctive river beats

From broad Tees pools and runs to the intimate, tree-lined Greta, the club offers varied fly fishing in some exceptionally attractive Teesdale countryside.

Two rivers, four beats

The club has two beats on the River Tees downstream of Barnard Castle and two on the River Greta north of Greta Bridge.

Each beat has its own character. The Tees provides broader water, pools and runs, while the Greta offers smaller, more secluded fishing where a lighter approach is often appropriate.

Detailed parking and access information is reserved for members. The public pages below introduce each beat, its character and some general fishing guidance.
